American Portable Dance Floors is a division of Signature Fencing and Flooring Systems, LLC the world's largest manufacturer and renter of dance floors, stadium flooring, tent flooring, event fencing and barricades. American Portable Dance Floors was founded in 2000 by a team of professional dancers to meet the unique floor needs of professionals worldwide. After dancing on many different types of floors they believed they could improve upon the design and functionality of existing systems. After much investigation, they decided to create their own dance floor, one that was easy to install and remove, didn't come apart during aggressive dance moves, was particularly beautiful, had built-in natural spring, was economical, and could be moved to nearly any facility as required. From this love of dance American Portable Dance Floors was founded (formerly American Dreams) and from these humble beginnings, APDF grew to become the preferred choice of professional dancers and tournaments nationwide. Hotels, resorts, and rental companies saw the benefits of this easy to install professional dance floor and schools, restaurants, event planners, and individual dancers liked how beautiful the floor looked versus older systems. In 2007 American Portable Dance Floors was acquired by Signature Fencing and Flooring, makers of the DanceDeck® brand of dance floors. From simulated wood to real wood and from economy floors to upscale floors Signature Flooring and American Portable Dance Floors now offers a complete line of dance floors for any application. This marriage and our increased size and scale have enabled us to keep prices low and to minimize lead times and shipping times. One thing that hasn't changed is our commitment to our customers and to our heritage.
